Well, sometimes I’m not that original with naming.. I have never produced a large number of these yet but have let a few go and used the descriptive name for it when I did. ‘Long Pink’ is a very unique plant in that it is a member of the branching rhizome group yet IS seed fertile. To date this is the only one in this group known to be fertile. It has the size and easy growing habits of a branched rhizome type but has a very long light pink inflorescence. My native bees occasionally pollinate it and seeds can sometimes be found on old inflorescences. I’ve yet to get any successful hybrids from it yet, but am still trying! Very limited numbers. Grows to 3 feet in medium sun.
