Well sometimes good hybrids don’t always come with good names, or names at all. In the fine tradition of some Thai breeding programs this beauty was released under a working name and not a trade or cultivar name. It falls under the Tulip Ginger category but has very large leaves (for a tulip ginger hybrid) and is taller than its cousin Maetang Sunrise. The stems are very long and make excellent cut flowers. It can be easily grown as a pot plant but is very attractive in the medium to full sun garden.
Grows to 1-1.5 feet in medium to full sun. Has not been tested yet for cold hardiness but should be hardy in Zone 8 and above.
