Curcuma hybrid Chaidee ‘Coral’ is one of only a few rare Curcuma supraneeana ( formerly in the genus Smithatris) crosses but with light pink bracts and bright yellow flowers . Curcuma supraneeana offers a unique foliage with a more upright stem habit. So far the only 4 hybrids from it carry this great look, 2 are no longer available on the market. This gives it more of a miniature Canna look, but more refined and without leaf rollers! ‘Coral’ is one of the most beautiful of all of the new hybrids released in 2019 (and there were a bunch!!). In addition to its exceptional bloom and habit the stems are red and the leaves elegant as well. We are one of the few in not only sources for this one right now. Although an unknown to most ginger enthusiasts this one has quickly become a favorite of everyone that has seen it.
Grows to 2′ in medium sun. Should prove hardy in USDA Zones 8 and above.
